MORE ?UESTLOVE

In this part of the interview Questlove talks about collecting multi-track recordings. The first time I heard a famous multi-track recording, I was left speechless and in disbelief. It was at my friend Dan's house. Like a lot of my friends, Dan was heavily into sound design/engineering and had a half-built recording studio on his second floor. After scraping away and smoking the build-up of crystals lining his electric grinder, he brought us upstairs to show us these new tracks that he downloaded.....and there it was.....every recorded track of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. We listened to it in every possible arrangement we could think of. "Put it on with just the vocals! Just vocals!". We also listened to Bob Marley (I forget which track) with just drums, bass, Bob, and his background singers....It was as if they were just jamming out in the room with us.
